The economy is booming. Several economic indicators have reached all time highs, including the Dow Jones on October 3rd 2006. A second technology (r)evolution is one of the key drivers behind today's economic growth, and technology stocks have fully recovered from the dot com bubble burst of 2001. Telecom stocks though, have been underperforming compared to other industries over the last two years, despite the fact that the financial performance of most of the telecom companies has been better then excellent, with EDITDAs exceeding 35 or 40%.
